On January 6, Dongfeng KL & KR Launch Conference took place in Wuhan, China. This is a strategic move of Dongfeng to offer more refined customized logistics solutions. With the launch of the new-generation medium & heavy-duty trucks, DFCV has entered a new stage of "one-network sales of products based on five platforms": Dongfeng KX, Dongfeng VL, Dongfeng VR, Dongfeng KL and Dongfeng KR. Dongfeng has become a truck manufacturer with the most complete medium & heavy-duty truck lines in China.

Dongfeng KL and Dongfeng KR are upgraded products built in five years by DFCV based on its 50 years of experience in building vehicles of military quality and with ingenuity. DFCV's partner Volvo offered strong technical support in energy conservation, safety, reliability, NVH and other aspects. Both products feature fully-upgraded technologies such as independent assembly, engine thermal management, low wind resistance design, Dongfeng VECU electric control, low rolling resistance design, direct gear + small gear ratio transmission match and driver evaluation system, which saved fuel consumption by 5 percent to 10 percent compared to domestic competing products of the same class.
